Week Ten

Well school holidays are in full swing at my house. If I hear "What are we doing now mum?" one more time I think I will scream.

I got a treadmill last weekend. I love it. I get to walk at night which is great. I have to be careful that I not only use the treadmill but exercise outdoors as well as I love getting out of the house. It would be easy to just use my treadmill and nothing else. I couldn't stop the gym even if I wanted to as Charlotte has made a few little friends at the gym crèche. She brings my gym bag to me and says come on mum.

My family and I went to Coffs Harbour on the weekend. We visited the big banana and went on the giant inflatable waterslides. Although it so much fun my legs were so sore from climbing the waterslides that were about five stories high.

I love this warmer weather. I have been living on salads or fresh veggies for dinner. I think it's much easier. I love summer fruits too; much more selection then apples or oranges.

Week Nine

Things have calmed down a bit and my father in law is on the mend. However I am still l spending a lot of time at the hospital and am also feeling very emotionally drained.

The great news is I got into university for next year. I finally have the confidence to resign from my job and go after my dreams. It's going to be busy but I can't wait. Now all I have to do is physically hand in that resignation.

I managed to get back to the gym on the weekend. It felt really good to let off some steam from the week however I may have gone a bit overboard because I could hardly move on Sunday. This week, I have started my walking group with other mothers back up again. However it seems to me that we are starting to walk less and are stopping to talk more but it’s still good to see the girls.

We are heading back up to my parent’s house for the long weekend which is just what I need. I can't wait to walk that beautiful beach again.

Week Eight

This week has been the toughest week of my life. A family member has fallen seriously ill and my days have been spent at the hospital.
It's been very hard to keep up the ULTRAslim this week. It's been very hard to eat any food at all actually. I have been taking my ready to go shakes to the hospital so I can try and keep something down.
I have managed to get some exercise in by taking the kids to the local park and playing to keep their minds off what's happened to a loved member of our family. I got one workout at the gym in last Wednesday.

Week Seven

It was so hard coming back to reality this week. I could have stayed at Coffs Harbour forever. It's always hard saying goodbye to my family. We all had a great time and can't wait to go back at Christmas on the way to the Gold Coast. I really need to step it up at the gym now so I've booked in to do an outdoor training session. It's slightly inconvenient since its at the beach which is 20 minutes drive away - 6 in the morning is very early, so we will see how that goes. I would really like a treadmill for home. Any recommendations would great.

I love my walking group. We were so busy walking and having fun that by the time we got back to our cars an hour and a half had past. We’re aiming to get together twice a week.

I signed Brooke up for little athletics this week. I want her to understand that exercise is important and it can be fun as well. I hope she likes it, she runs everywhere so I’m sure she will. The competition starts in two weeks.

I lost 0.8kg this week. Thanks for your support Kathleen. I will be aiming for smaller goals and will certainly start measuring myself.

Week Six

Went to Coffs Harbour this week so didn't go the gym but did walk the whole length of Coffs Harbour beach twice and danced the night away with my sister on a night out. I think I have my sister hooked on ULTRAslim too. She couldn’t believe how yummy they were and how full she felt afterwards.

We went for fathers day breakfast and I ordered a fruit salad. Scott ordered a bacon and egg meal and I thought it would be torture watching him eat it but when it came out it looked so greasy and the smell was really bad.

I can now say I am officially a size 14. I have dropped a full dress size. I am so happy. I must admit I am scared about my ability to keep this weight off. I’m so happy I’ve lost weight that I guess I am frightened it will all go back on - I know that would devastate me.

Week Five

This week went so fast. I worked all weekend. I am still packing my ULTRAslim "lunchbox". Brooke is jealous because I get to pack an ULTRAslim Snack Bar. I survived my canteen duty really well. I just put myself into work mode and didn't really think about it.

This week I made an ULTRAslim Cappuccino flavoured milkshake. One word...YUM. I love coffee but don't really like it cold or iced, however the ULTRAslim Milkshake was so yummy. I have a found a new favourite.

I started a little walking group with some mum's from Brooke's school. It's probably not "real" exercise as we chat, giggle and stop to look at things, but we do get out of the house with the kids for some fresh air. I love it. I have made some good friends too.

This weekend we are heading to Coffs Harbour to see my parents for Father’s Day. I'm really looking forward to seeing them. I'm not too worried about breaking, as my Dad is diabetic so there are never any tempting foods at my parent’s house. No offence Mum!

Question? What can I order at a cafe for breakfast that would be safe for me to eat?

Week Four

This week has flown by. My poor little girls caught my flu from last week and were miserable. I did manage to finalise our Gold Coast holiday for January. I have been putting it off for years but I am now ready to walk on the beach.

I went shopping with my sister on the weekend and brought a size 12 dress. I am determined to fit into it for my Gold Coast holiday. I have it hanging on the outside of my cupboard so I can look at it.

This Friday I am volunteering at my daughter Brooke's school canteen. Please wish me luck. I feel confident but am still a little worried about all that temptation. However it's not something I can get out of as I need to support Brooke's school.

Thank you so much Kathleen for all your advice. I am going to talk to my personal trainer tomorrow as I feel I am getting a bit bored with my routine at the gym. I also would like some advice. I noticed that some summer fruits are starting to pop up and was wondering if mangoes are ok to eat? Thank you.

Have a good week everyone.

Week Three

This week I was very sick with the flu and spent three days in bed. I still kept up my ULTRAslim as it was the only thing I could eat that didn't make me feel sick.

After I was back up on my feet, I went to the gym. I managed to get back into my exercise routine fairly quickly but was amazed what four days of no exercise could do. It was almost like my first time again. It made me realise that I need to keep my exercise regime up even after my weight loss.

My daughters, Brooke and Charlotte, were invited to a cookie party on Saturday where the kids made their own cookies. Once again I filled up on my ULTRAslim before leaving and wasn't tempted. Although after seeing three different children sneeze into the cookie dough, there was no way I would of eaten some anyway.

My weight loss for this week was 0.7kg.

Very happy.

Week Two

Well I must admit this has been a tough week. Temptation was at an all time high. Still loving ULTRAslim though and can never get enough of the cherry bars.

My husband Scott's birthday was on Thursday and I really struggled. How could I not share a piece of my husband’s cake? Luckily I was working, so I organised for Scott’s mother and my daughters to go over and do the cake thing while I worked. I knew I couldn't have only one piece. I'd worked too hard. I am so lucky; Scott has been so supportive and understood.

When the weekend came I wasn't working so couldn't fall back on that. My mother-in-law offered to take the girls on Friday night so I could relax. This would usually mean a Chinese dinner with movie and munchies. Instead I made a warm beef salad and went to bed early and Scott and I hit the gym early Saturday morning. It was great. I really loved it. I really enjoyed spending time with Scott. I don't think we've laughed like that in a long time.

My daughter Brooke has been begging me to see Ice Age 3, so on Sunday we went. I made sure in the car on the way I had a shake and wasn't hungry. This worked a treat and we had a great time.

I have lost 0.8kgs this week and am generally feeling healthier. Even though temptations were high I overcame them and still managed to have fun. I proved to myself that you don't need fatty Chinese or cinema popcorn to have good time.

Week One

Posted by: melissa

I am almost one week into ULTRAslim and l still cannot fault this product. I still find it filling and very yummy.

Since things were going so well I decided to not wait a few weeks and join my local gym. I must admit when I walked in there I felt like the fattest person there but was made very welcome and even had a personal training session.

I was worried about the weekend as I was working and usually will just pop next door to the shopping centre and head straight to the eatery. I made sure I packed my lunchbox of ULTRAslim and never left work all day to avoid temptation. The girls at work wanted to go for dinner and drinks. I felt terrible. I couldn't do it. I knew I wasn't strong enough to not order that carbonara I always order on our dinner nights. I hope in time I can go and just order something healthy.

Now it was time to ask Scott to bring in the scales. I had purposely told him to put them in the shed and since I am terrified of spiders I knew they would be safe out there and I would not feel the urge to weigh myself ten times a day. My total weightloss after being on ULTRAslim for 6 days is.....1.3kg. I am so happy. Bring on the next week.
